Britney Spears, the well-known pop princess from Louisiana, has been very busy lately. She has been claiming residency in Las Vegas, along with working hard on her upcoming new album “Britney Jean,” which will be released on December 3rd. On Spears’ new album, a single titled “Perfume” will be included, which has a deep meaning to Spears.

In an interview between Spears and E! Online, Spears tells why the ballad is so important to her:

“‘Perfume’ is incredibly special to me because it hits close to home, and I think the story is relatable to everyone. Everyone’s been through an insecure moment in a relationship that’s left them vulnerable and I think this song captures that.”

In a recent letter that Spears wrote to her fans, she stated that “I have been through a lot in the past few years and it has really inspired me to dig deeper and write songs that I think everyone can relate to,” Spears also credited other artists, such as: will.i.am, Sia, and William Orbit, for their collaborations and contributions to her music.

Spears also described the songs on her album as “a lot of really fun, upbeat dance songs” and stated that her strength, attitude, and vulnerability will be expressed in her album’s songs as well.

According to BritneySpears.com, the single “Perfume” will be released on Tuesday, November 5th, and her full album “Britney Jean” will be on sale on Tuesday, December 3rd.
