Bobbi Kristina Brown died in July at the age of 22. She was discovered unconscious in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia townhouse back on January 31, but never regained consciousness.

Shortly before she died, an executor for Bobbi Kristina filed a civil suit against her boyfriend Nick Gordon, alleging he both abused her in the days before she was found in that bathtub, and stole money from her bank account while she was comatose in a hospital.

Shortly after Bobbi Kristina died, the lawsuit was amended to become a wrongful death lawsuit. Now a new document has been filed as part of the wrongful death suit, alleging that Bobbi Kristina Brown “died due to a violent altercation with [Gordon], after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture.”

An attorney for Nick Gordon responded to the document in a statement, saying, “The lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless. Nick intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.”

A couple of weeks ago it was determined that the coroner now has the cause of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death, but it has been sealed pending the lawsuit. It’s uncertain if the results have anything to do with this new document that has been filed.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was the only child of New Edition singer Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston. Boyfriend Nick Gordon was taken in by Whitney Houston when he was a young teenager and raised alongside Bobbi Kristina.

It will definitely be interesting to see how this wrongful death lawsuit proceeds, and what the sealed coroner’s report says is the cause of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death.
