Bobbi Kristina Brown is not married to Nick Gordon, said a statement from Bobby Brown’s lawyer.
Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life right now in a medically induced coma and her family is by her side. That includes Nick Gordon, who is now known as her longtime boyfriend.
The two of them never married despite Bobbi Kristina’s talk about being a newlywed in numerous interviews.
“We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina,” Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, legal counsel for Bobby Brown, said in a statement on Tuesday evening.
The statement also said, “To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon.”
Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub on Saturday in a scene that echoed that of her mother’s untimely death almost three years ago to the day.
She was found by Nick Gordon, who was reported as her husband at the time, and a man who was arrested on drug charges last month, Maxwell Lomas.
Bobbi Kristina now lays in a medically induced coma in a hospital bed surrounded by her family. They come in two or three at a time to sit with her and wait for a sign that she will pull through, though doctors have already told family to prepare for the worst.
“The swelling [in her brain] has gone down,” says a family source. “The doctor says that that by itself isn’t the smoking gun that she’s getting better, but it’s still a good sign. But she’s still not reacting.”
One of her family members told People, “If she’s in there somewhere, we want her to hear us. We keep it positive. We tell her that God loves her, that we love her. That America is praying for her and that everyone loves her.”
Time is of the essence for Bobbi Kristina Brown. Will she pull through and get that second chance at life that her mother didn’t have? Time will tell.
