Peaches Geldof was a television personality, writer and model. She was also the daughter of Bob Geldof and the mother of two little boys. Peaches passed away on Monday in Kent, southeast England, London. She was 25 years old.

The cause of Peaches’ death is not yet known, and it is being treated as “unexplained.” Police officers and ambulances had been called to Peaches’ home following a report of concern for a woman’s welfare Monday afternoon.

Her father Bob is devastated by his daughter’s death and released a statement saying,

“Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. (Geldof’s husband) Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.”

Peaches lost her mother to a heroin overdose when she was only 11 years old. As a teenager she admitted to using drugs but said that she did not like the way they made her feel and did not want to abuse them or use them again.

She was well-known for making documentary films on teenage life as well and writing articles for several popular publications and magazines such as Elle Girl, the Daily Telegraph and the Guardian.

Peaches leaves behind her second husband, Tom Cohen, and two sons, 23-month-old Astala and 11-month-old Phaedra.

“My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra, and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day. We shall love her forever,” Cohen said in a statement.
