Rumors have been swirling for a while now that Jay-Z and Beyonce are on the skids. The two are touring together, but that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from churning out imminent breakup prognostications.

First there was the elevator kerfluffle between Jay-Z and Solange Knowles, Beyonce’s sister. That spawned conspiracy theories galore that Solange knew that Jay-Z was cheating on Beyonce.

But their “On the Run” tour seemed to put those rumors to rest for a bit. It even gave Jay-Z and Beyonce a chance to catch a bit of flack side by side from Justin Bieber’s fans over his mugshot being shown in their concert.

But there are a handful of things people love to hear about celebrities: pregnancies, weddings, infidelity, rehab, weight loss, and splits. If we don’t have anything good to report, we’ll grab at any straw and make that stuff up.

So, when Jay-Z and Beyonce talked a five-week getaway vacation, the tabloids said they were desperately trying to repair their crumbling marriage. If Beyonce is in concert without her wedding ring on, even if she is holding Jay-Z’s hand at the time, it is a sure sign that they are finished.

Now comes the notion that the celeb couple is using their daughter Blue Ivy as a prop to throw people off the scent of their impending divorce. The notion is that the couple fears they will lose potential tour money if people sense that they are splitting. So they are putting their daughter in photos with them to make it look like they are still one happy family.

Perhaps it never occurred to anyone that this is really a happy couple. Maybe those rumors that Beyonce is cozying up to her bodyguard friend are just that, rumors doled out to tabloid reporters for money or bragging rights among their friends.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been together for quite a while. Marriage is tough. Touring with a child is tough. Maybe the grown-up thing to do is to leave these people alone and let them live their lives.
