Bethenny Frankel appeared on the Meredith Vieira Show on Tuesday, January 13th, and shot back at recent weight critics who say she’s too thin. The Real Housewives of New York cast member and Skinnygirl founder says the critics saw a photo of her wearing a bikini while on a recent vacation with her boyfriend, Michael “Mac” Cerussi III.

“People were going, ‘Oh, she’s too thin,'” Meredith Vieira said.

“Yes, ‘I need to eat a burger,'” Bethenny Frankel said. “I was sick over the holidays. I don’t know. Do I look bad? Do I look like I need to eat a burger?”

The Skinnygirl founder went on to slam critics for making such unkind remarks about her body.

“I feel like, who cares, they are always going to say something,” she said. “I do have a brand called Skinnygirl, so I am going to get beaten up for it. It would be bad if I were overweight and had a brand called Skinnygirl, could you imagine?”

Bethenny Frankel also dished about her recent return to RHONY, which prompted Vieira to jokingly call out the reality star for lying.

“I just want to set this up properly,” Vieira said. “Last October, I welcomed you into my home because I love you. Very nicely, I asked if you would be returning to The Real Housewives of New York.”

Frankel said no at the time. However, she did confirm she was returning to the show in an interview Us Weekly in October.

“Listen, bitch,” Frankel said to Meredith Vieira, jokingly. “Did I say I have no deal to go back on Bravo, did I say that? I was not lying. No, this is the truth. I had no deal to go back on Bravo and you know, Meredith Vieira, with your own talk show, that if you don’t have a deal and it’s not signed, the deal can fall through at anytime.”

It seems like something is certainly amiss between Bethenny Frankel and the Real Housewives of New York. Do you get that impression, too?

Do you agree with Frankel’s critics that she’s way too thin or do you think this kind of body shaming is as bad as ridiculing people who need to lose weight?
