Ben Affleck On Jennifer Garner’s “Vanity Fair” Article: “She’s Allowed to Talk About It”

Ben Affleck broke his silence about Jennifer Garner’s recent Vanity Fair interview, in which she shared details about the demise of their marriage.

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star opened up in an interview with the New York Times, saying, “She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with so she could say, ‘Look, I already talked about it—I don’t want to do it again.'”

“It’s fine,” Affleck added. “She’s allowed to talk about it.”

Ben Affleck is incredibly generous, isn’t he? After allegedly cheating on Jennifer Garner with nanny Christine Ouzounian, he acknowledged that his ex-wife has the right to talk about his transgressions.

What a guy.

Ben Affleck went on to say some incredibly kind things about the woman he supposedly cheated on.

“Jen’s great. She’s a great person,” he said. “We’re on great terms. I just saw her this morning, so that’s the reality that I live in.”

The reality that Ben Affleck lives in seems like a pretty good one–don’t you think? He (allegedly) cheats on his wife, gets to live with or near his children, and his ex-wife goes on vacation with them–for the sake of the children.

Ben Affleck got to have his cake and eat it, too. In fact, it sounds like he got two slices.

What’s your take on Ben Affleck’s thoughts on Jennifer Garner divulging details about the destruction of their marriage? Do you think he might have worded things a bit differently instead of saying she is “allowed” to talk about it?

Does something about that not sit right with you–and if so, how must Jennifer Garner have reacted when she read it in the New York Times?
