  • Austin Mahone and Justin Bieber have sometimes been portrayed as rivals, but that’s really not the truth at all. The As Long As You Love Me pop sensation and the 18-year-old Mmm Yeah singer met in the recording studio and shared their talents on Tuesday.

“They really respect each other’s music,” a source tells E! News of the two heartthrobs. “They work with a lot of the same producers and Justin knew Austin has been in the studio working on his album. Justin had a song he thought could be really perfect to do with Austin so they got together in the studio.”

Austin Mahone has been hard at work on his second album which was just given a tentative release date of some time in May.

Justin Bieber shared a photo of himself with Austin Mahone, along with Birdman and Mack Maine, following some time at Miami’s Hit Factory.

Mack Maine shared the same photo on his Instagram page, along with the following caption.

“The world isn’t ready!” Maine shared the same picture with his Instagram followers, adding, “Young kings in the building… @austinmahone and @justinbieber #AYC.”

Justin Bieber took Austin Mahone out to celebrate his 18th birthday on Friday. The two were spotted out and about in Miami and later enjoyed a sushi lunch.

Austin Mahone’s fans are called ‘Mahomies’ while Justin Bieber followers are referred to as ‘Beliebers.’ What do you suppose fans of one of the singers will think of this collaboration with the other?

Hopefully Justin Bieber’s recent run of poor behavior doesn’t rub off on Austin Mahone. Recently arrested both for drag racing without a valid drivers license in Miami and for allegedly assaulting a limo driver, the Canadian pop star hasn’t exactly been mentor material lately. Maybe his attempts to make some positive changes have been successful, however, and maybe recording with Austin Mahone is just one way he can prove he is doing things differently these days.
