Ashley Judd put her marital problems aside and rushed to her ex-husband, Dario Franchitti’s, side after hearing about the Houston Grand Prix Crash that injured Franchitti, 13 spectators, and a race official.
Judd kept the fans updated via Twitter while she made her way to the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center to check on her estranged husband.

Representatives from IndyCar shared their condolences with all those who were affected by the wreck on Sunday.
“Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by yesterday’s accident,” the organization said. “Thank you to the people of Houston for their support of the Grand Prix and their concern for Dario Franchitti, the fans and race personnel. IndyCar is thoroughly reviewing the incident. Reducing the risks that are associated with racing is one of our highest priorities and receives our constant and on-going focus.”
Judd and Franchitti’ announced their decision to separate earlier this year. “We have mutually decided to end our marriage,” the couple said. “We’ll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed.”
