Ashlee Simpson has been spotted out with Evan Ross, son of Motown icon Diana, and rumors are flying that the two are a couple.

Simpson, who was most recently linked to “Boardwalk Empire” actor Vincent Piazza, has reportedly known Ross for years and the two of them have several mutual friends. But lately they’ve been spending a lot of time together, and speculation is running rampant that they’re an item.

Simpson and Ross went out to Teddy’s at the Roosevelt Hotel on Monday night, left together, and then were seen having lunch together the next day in West Hollywood. They were also seen holding hands as they were leaving the Sunset Marquis Hotel.

The “Bat For A Heart” singer, who is mom to 4-year old Bronx with ex-husband Pete Wentz, went through a painful divorce in 2011. Now, Wentz says, they can put aside their differences to co-parent.

“I feel like we both realize that we’re parents and we’re in it for our kid. That’s made it really easy,” Wentz said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “I feel like, as a mom, she’s awesome. She’s an awesome mom and we get along really well when it comes to our kid now.”
