Arnold Schwarzenegger had a rather scandalous year in 2012, after a former housekeeper came forward and admitted he'd fathered her son during their long affair. The news took the web by storm and sent his wife, Maria Shriver, packing.

But though the two have been separated for months--even selling one of their homes--Arnold says he still loves Maria. Schwarzenegger also claims to have spent Christmas with his family despite the discord.

"We're not fighting any war. I still hope for reconciliation; I still love Maria," he said.

Despite what the former governor of California may say, however, other sources insist that the couple are spending time together only for the sake of their children and that a reconciliation is not in the cards.

After the news broke of his illegitimate son--and affairs with other women--Arnold said, "There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."
