It was going back and forth there for a while, but it’s now officially confirmed that the new iPad (iPad 3 or iPad HD, just tell us already!) will have 4G LTE support.
Apple said the the speeds of the iPad 2 were at 3.1 Mbps on EV-DO and 7.2 on HSPA. For the new iPad, it’s 21 Mbps on HSPA+, 42 Mbps on DC-HSDPA and LTE at a whopping 73 Mbps.
4G on the new iPad is available through AT&T and Verizon in the U.S. It will be available through Telus, Rogers and Bell in Canada.
