Andy Dick was arrested on felony theft charges on Friday, November 7.
The actor and comedian was reportedly arrested late Friday night and was booked into Los Angeles County Jail, after running off with a guy’s $1,000 necklace.
According to the internet gossip site TMZ, Dick was riding his bike along Hollywood Blvd. when he saw the man wearing the necklace. He stopped and asked if he could look at it, and when the man took it off Dick took off with it.
Andy was released from jail early Saturday morning after making his $25,000 bail. His next court day has been set for December 4, 2014.
According to Reuters, felony theft, or grand theft, charges in Los Angeles are described as taking anything from someone worth more than $950.

This is not Dick’s first run in with the law. In 1999, he pleaded guilty to cocaine and marijuana possession, and in 2008 he was put on probation for sexual assault. In 2010, Dick agreed to a six month pre-trial diversion program after being charged with two counts of sexual assault.
If Dick is convicted of the felony charge, he could face the maximum penalty of three years in prison. If the charges are dropped to a misdemeanor, he faces one year in prison.
