Amy Duggar Drops Social Media Hints About Josh Duggar

Josh Duggar has received loads of support from his fans and family during his recent troubles. The reality TV star of 19 Kids and Counting was called out publicly for incidents from back when he was 24 years old. Josh had reportedly molested five girls, four of which were reported to be his sisters.

Josh’s family has particularly ridden to his side. His parents and wife both issued statements of support, calling that period of his life and those incidents “mistakes.”

“Back 12 years ago our family went through one of the most difficult times of our lives,” Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar said. “When Josh was a young teenager, he made some very bad mistakes, and we were shocked. We had tried to teach him right from wrong. That dark and difficult time caused us to seek God like never before.”

Aside from that, most of Josh’s immediate family have refrained from making public comments about the situation. Michael Seewald, related to Josh by marriage, has spoken about it on his own blog.

Amy Duggar, Josh’s cousin, has said several things lately on social media that seem to be veiled bits of encouragement to her family. She has posted many times in the past about scriptural passages, so this is not unusual. But her postings of late do seem poignant considering the environment her family is in now.

This weekend, Amy Duggar posted a picture to Instagram that cited a piece of a sermon. She said of the passage:

“I didn’t write this, but I did take notes! As I was listening to this sermon God was working in my heart, and I just wanted to share this truth with you. Happy Saturday followers.”

The passage reads:

“He is our peace! He will give you tranquility. He can heal anyone in any situation. Don’t give up on your marriage. Or friendship or a team or work or a family member. He can bring peace. Because he is peace. The Lord erases all doubts. Jesus is able to take every emotion in your heart and bring calm to it. He can erase every doubt in your mind. And when he moves there is no reason to doubt. Because he is here.”

She posted another to Instagram a few days earlier that simply read: “Never stop praying.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

That one she captioned:

“No matter what happens in life our prayers are heard. Pray for your enemies. Pray for people who judge you and mistreat you. Pray for God’s will in every aspect of your life.”

Amy Duggar has also posted to Twitter with thoughts that seem to be directed at her family and its recent troubles.

God > My fears
God > My insecurities
God > My worry
God > My everything

Sooner or later, God has to teach us that our true life is in Him, not in anything the world has to offer.

One post featured the same pic that reads “Never Stop Praying.”

Amy Duggar has pinned a post from back in October to the top of her twitter page.

Just remember one thing, God is with you. He will make everything beautiful at the right time and place.
