Amandla Steinberg of Hunger Games fame and Kylie Jenner of Keeping Up With the Kardashians fame found themselves engaged in an online feud in recent days over a new hairstyle sported by Jenner.
Kylie Jenner recently took a selfie, like all good members of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians clan regularly do, and in it she has her hair in cornrows.
She shared that selfie via social media.
“I woke up like diss,” she captioned the shot.
Amandla Steinberg commented on Kylie’s hairstyle. That comment–and those Kylie Jenner wrote in retort–have since been removed from her Instagram post.
“@novemberskyys when u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter,” Amandla Stenberg wrote.
And then Kylie got in a jab about Jaden Smith.
“@amandlastenberg Mad if I don’t, Mad if I do…. Go hang w Jaden or something.”

Jaden Smith has long been a close friend of both Kylie and Kendall Jenner. He accompanied Amanda Steinberg to her prom back in May, however. Hence the diss on Kylie Jenner’s behalf.
Screen shots of the online feud starting circulating as soon as Amanda Steinberg first commented on Jenner’s post.
Some comments still remain about the subject, but those making up the feud over the cornrows is gone.
Whose side do you take in the feud? Do you think Kylie Jenner meant to be insensitive or insulting? Was Amandla Steinberg feeling a bit too sensitive?
How should their conversation have gone had it been carried out in person, privately?
