Adrionna Williams, a 2-year old from Swissvale, Pennsylvania, was reported missing around seven p.m. on Sunday evening. Not long after, her body was found in a ravine. Now, investigators are working to piece together the last moments of her life, and unfortunately there seem to be more questions than answers.

Adrionna likely did not arrive at the ravine on her own, police say, and that presents a problem.

"The child was found at roughly 7:40 in a remote area in Swissvale. At this point in the investigation we do not believe the child walked to the location where she was discovered. We have reason to believe she was placed there after her death. The investigation is ongoing and at this stage we do not believe the child was abducted by a stranger," said Allegheny County Homicide Lt. Andrew Schurman.

With autopsy results still pending, police are at a standstill in the case and have not released the names of any possible suspects. Because her body was found about 40 minutes after she was reported missing, investigators don't believe she could have walked to the wooded location on her own despite her family's claims that she must have left her home on foot.

“We're as curious as everybody else to try to get it solved,” Chief Greg Geppert said. “It's very upsetting to us...There’s nothing there as far as a crime scene or anything like that to indicate that she was killed there or anything like that. For her to be where she was at, she was absolutely placed there.”
