After undergoing extensive tests on his spine and neck following a car accident on the Long Island Expressway last night, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is doing fine and has been released from the hospital.

According to his website, ThisIs50.com, ā€œ50 Cent was in a bad accident tonight as his bullet-proof SUV was rear-ended by a Mack truck on the LIE in NYC. He was put on a stretcher and taken to the nearest Queens hospital where they are currently running tests on his neck and back.ā€

I love how they make sure to mention that the SUV was bulletproof. That did not help this situation. I know 50 is “really hard and everyone wants to kill him”, but come on. This kind of image buffering during a serious accident makes me wonder if it wasn’t all staged to solidify 50 Cent’s image that he cannot be killed. (Before people start leaving nasty comments: No I don’t believe that’s what really happened.)

50 Cent was being chauffeured by his driver, who was also injured in the crash, but both have now been released and are expected to make a rapid recovery. As it turns out, the rapper only had “minor neck and back injuries” according to a representative.
