Rapper 2 Chainz became the victim of an armed robbery on Sunday in Oakland, California on Sunday, according to reports. He was reportedly walking with five companions when three men approached the group. One of the men produced a gun, and there are reports that shots were fired. The men escaped in a gray sedan with 2 Chainz’s wallet and cell phone.
Rumors about the incident quickly spread, and Twitter lit up with reports that the rapper had been shot. 2 Chainz (born Tauheed Epps), took to Twitter to assure fans (and detractors) that he was, in fact, alive and well.
After the incident, 2 Chainz continued on to the Oakland Summer Jam festival, where he performed as planned.
