A 12-year-old girl has been missing since Thursday morning when she disappeared from Bradenburg Middle School in Garland, Texas.

Adrienne Solórzano was last seen leaving her portable classroom to meet her father for a parent teacher conference in the main middle school building.

At first, the Garland Police Department was considering Solórzano’s disappearance a runaway case but later stated that they thought “there may be more to this missing girl.”

Solórzano was given a pass to leave class around 11 a.m. The pass was found outside of the portable classroom, however Solórzano was not and no surveillance cameras show footage of her.

Solórzano’s friends and family have said that this is completely out of character for her. “What’s being described to us is she’s a very good student, quiet, goes home, studies a lot, has got just a few friends and they’re all good students,” police officer, Joe Harn said.

The middle school sent a letter home from school after Solórzano went missing.

The The letter read: “The safety of students and staff at Bradenburg is paramount. Please help us reinforce this message. Talk to your child this evening about the importance of sharing any action they may experience or witness that impacts the security of our campus.”
