A fisherman in Singapore got the shock of a lifetime when he reeled in a strange looking creature that he claims had over 100 tentacles or arms.
Ong Han Boon said he caught the strange creature while fishing for lunch recently on the island of Sentosa and admitted that he couldn’t believe his eyes when he got the creature off his line.
“I’ve had quite a few odd things from come out of the ocean but I have never seen anything like this before in my life. It had all these arms waving around,” Boon told The Mirror.

Boon is still not sure exactly what he caught but said that the animal looked like a mutant or an alien and was unlike any creature he had ever caught or seen before.
He was happy to share his story and get the photo shared online, and hopes that someone will be able to identify the strange creature.
“I’ve asked all my friends and none of them know and all my internet searches have not turned up anything that looks like this,” he said. “So, if no one can’t identify it then I guess I’m right — it’s either an alien or I’ve discovered a new species of mutant sea creature. That would not surprise me with all the pollution they put in the water nowadays.”

Some people have guessed that the creature could be a new species or a type of octopus, squid or jellyfish. Scientists are planning to do tests to determine exactly what the fisherman caught.
