Disney Rolls Out iPhone App

The app features Disney content including characters, music, video and games. Disney says content in the app will be updated regularly with the latest news and entertainment from the company.
The new Disney App offers a "Click2Life" feature, which works by allowing iPhone users to take pictures of images from Disney.com that will come to life within the app and turn into a 3D image.
AMA Launches Website Focused On Flu Symptoms
There are a number of online resources available about the flu and the H1N1 virus and the list keeps growing with the American Medical Association launching AMAfluhelp.org.
The website asks users a series of questions to determine how serious their flu symptoms are based on the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. Users have the option to share their information with their doctor, as well as family members.
Blinkx Adds Music Videos To The Mix

Online video search engine blinkx has launched blinkx Music, a new tool aimed at helping users find and watch music videos on the Web.
"There are hundreds of thousands of music videos available on the Web today which makes it nearly impossible to navigate and find what you are looking for," said Suranga Chandratillake, CEO and founder, blinkx.
Amazon Rolls Out Kindle For PC
Amazon.com has introduced "Kindle for PC," a free software application that allows PC users to access Kindle content on their computers.
Users will be able to buy e-books from Amazon without having to own its Kindle e-reader. Previously users had to buy a Kindle or an iPhone or iPod touch to buy e-books from its Kindle store.
The new Kindle for PC download will be available from Amazon next month. Amazon introduced its Kindle for PC software at Windows 7 launch event today in New York City.
Census Bureau Launches New Website For 2010

The U.S. Census Bureau has launched a new website as part of its effort to communicate with Americans about the 2010 census.
The website called 2010CENSUS.GOV features an animated marquee that allows users to click on images representative of the population and view video clips aimed at easing fears about the census and encourage participation.
"2010CENSUS.GOV puts the census in the hands of the public," said U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert M. Groves.
Newspaper Websites Attract 74 Million Visitors In Q3

An average of 74 million people visited newspaper websites in the third quarter of 2009, representing 38 percent of all Internet users, according to a custom analysis by Nielsen for the Newspaper Association of America (NAA).
Newspaper website visitors generated more than 3.5 billion page views during the quarter, spending 2.7 billion minutes browsing the sites over more than 596 million sessions.
Uptimes For Phishing Websites Down 25%
The amount of time phishing websites remain online has dropped 25 percent over the last year, according to a new survey by the Anti-Phishing Work Group (APWG).

Mattel Launches Ecommerce Website

Toy maker Mattel has launched its own ecommerce site, MattelShop.com, offering a selection of its popular brands along with social shopping features.
MattelShop.com features a social shopping tool called ShopTogether, developed by shopping application firm DecisonStep, that allows users to browse the site with family and friends. Shoppers have the ability to chat with each other in real time about the various toys offered on the site.
