Great Idea for an Event Organizer

What a great idea for an event organizer… I’ve often wondered why event planners don’t come out with "official" tags for people to tag entries on blogs, photos on flickr, videos on youtube etc… (many people, including yours truly post photos and create our own tags) but here’s a cool idea that I never thought of.. what about networking groups on LinkedIn, facebook and others?

That’s exactly what Nokia is doing for their Nokia World event… attendees can coonect by being accepted into these special groups… nice idea!

Nokia hopes to improve its mobile business with a definitive agreement to acquire Enpocket, which offers cell phone marketing technology and services to advertisers. Financial details of the purchase were not released.

Nokia has a bunch of new devices that I want to try. I have both an iPhone and a Nokia N95. I am keeping track of how often I pick up either device. The iPhone is winning. Bigtime.

Based on first reports and videos I’ve seen today: no.

That said, Nokia’s hardware is much more advanced than the iPhone. Better cameras, GPSs, replaceable batteries, more open so you can choose your carriers, etc.

At work, I switched from Windows to Mac about 4 months ago. So far, I’m very happy with that. The MacBook Pro I got from work is an Intel Core 2 Duo machine, the OS X interface is beautiful and virtually all software I need runs on Mac.
