Since "American Idol" for the first time has made downloads of performers songs available on iTunes, winner, David Cook has enjoyed great success.Cook's "The Time of My Life," has been downloaded 236,000 times, reaching the number 1 spot on Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart and reaching the number three position on the Billboard Hot 100.

Yahoo’s put out some amusing commercials, and we’ve had a good time making fun of Ask’s strange offerings. Yet in all of this, where is Google? The search giant almost doesn’t seem to believe in advertising.

Google is one of the last companies you might expect to buy a billboard, and Olean, New York, is one of the last places you might expect a tech company to advertise. Nonetheless, Google’s put an ad up in Oleans, and it’s for an out-of-the-way product: GOOG-411.
