Stephen Collins has experienced a definite fall from grace. The 7th Heaven father and pastor has now been dropped from an upcoming episode of Scandal. ABC decided to remove all of his footage from the episode in light of recent sexual abuse allegations.

"We can confirm that we will not be airing any footage with Stephen Collins," a rep for ABC said during a recent interview.

Stephen Collins appeared on an episode of Scandal during Season 2, in the role of anchorman Reed Wallace. He finished filming for the Season 3 episode back in September. Collins tweeted about wrapping the filming on September 23rd.

Both UP TV and the TVGuide Network pulled reruns of 7th Heaven this past week. Earlier he was fired from the cast of Ted 2. The investigation into the Stephen Collins sexual abuse allegations is ongoing.

Regardless of what the outcome of the investigation may be, it definitely sounds as though Stephen Collins's career is over. Even if he is found innocent of any wrongdoing--and the tape the media released doesn't make that sound likely--he will forever be thought of as someone somehow related to sex crimes, and that will make it quite unlikely he'll find work again as an actor.
