Report: Facebook Ad CTRs Up 20% Quarter-Over-Quarter

  • Adobe released its Q1 Social Intelligence Report, which looks at social media data and trends around Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, and LinkedIn. It analyzes paid, earned, and owned social media over 260 billion Facebook ad impressions, 17 billion visits from referred sites, and 226 billion Facebook post impressions.

The report finds that Facebook’s ads saw a 20% increase in click-through rates quarter-over-quarter. Ad impressions were up 41% over that time. Here’s a look at year-over-year:

“This comes as surprise given the strong holiday quarter and the usual slowdown in Q1,” a spokesperson for Adobe says.

Revenue per visit coming from Faebook increased by 2% quarter-over-quarter after the strong holiday quarter. For comparison, Twitter fell 25% and Tumblr fell 36% in that category.

According to the report, Fridays drive the most posts and engagement rates on social media with about 25% of Facebook video plays and 16% of Facebook post impressions happening on that day of the week.

You can find the full report here.

We should be learning a great deal more about Facebook ad performance on Wednesday when the company releases its earnings report, and holds its quarterly conference call.
