Orange is the New Black: Season 2 has only been available on Netflix for a week, but the third season is reportedly already filming. There are also a couple pieces of significant casting news.
Deadline reports that Dascha Polanco, who play's Daya Diaz, has been promoted to a series regular.

While certainly good news for Polanco, most fans of the show probably already consider her a regular. She's always been a significant part of the show from the first season on.
In other casting news, however, the show is adding a new face - Mary Steenburgen (via TV Line):
Very excited to go to my first wardrobe fitting of OITNB! Will I be in orange or black?:)
— Mary Steenburgen (@MarySteenburgen) June 12, 2014
Little more is known about what role she'll play, but we'll find out soon enough, I'm sure. TV Line does say it will be a recurring role.
Steenburgen has won both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her role in Melvin and Howard. Her recent television work has included Justified, 30 Rock, Bored to Death, Robot Chicken, Wilfred, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
If the filming of Orange is the New Black: Season 3 is anything like that of Season 2, you can probably expect to see quite a few photos from the set on the official Instagram account.
