He learned of the case of mistaken identity while walking through an airport earlier this week.
“I was walking through an airport, looking at my mobile device and checking in on my Facebook page and realizing that 3 million people were saying, ‘Hey, you should check out the Medford police site because it sure looks like there’s an all-points bulletin out for you,’” Mike Rowe said yesterday during an interview with Good Morning America.
It was Tuesday when police in Medford, Oregon asked the public for help in identifying a suspected bank robber.
"The suspect in the alleged armed robbery at a local Chase Bank was described as “standing about 5’6” to 5’8” inches tall” and was dressed in a gray sweatshirt and light-colored baseball cap," ABC News reports.
Mike Rowe admits he saw the resemblance, too, and took to his Facebook page to assure fans he hadn't taken on a new career as a criminal.
On Thursday he shared yet another post.
The resemblance between the alleged bank robber and Mike Rowe really is uncanny.
Might you have though Mike Rowe robbed a bank if you saw that photo before reading the Dirty Jobs star's reaction?
