Michelle Fairley Is Set To Star In “24: Live Another Day”By: Tobias Roth - February 12, 2014
Fans of action will unite with fans of fantasy with the casting of Michelle Fairley in the upcoming reboot of 24, 24: Live Another Day. She is known for her role on the popular fantasy series Game Of Thrones, in which she played Catelyn Stark for three seasons.
Michelle Fairley has been cast in the role of Margo, the British widow of a notorious terrorist. The role of Margo was originally set to be played by Judy Davis, but she was forced to leave production on the new series due to personal reasons. It has not been revealed why she left.
24: Live Another Day will be an exciting way for fans of 24 relive the adventures of Jack Bauer, and the new series will see him in London, featuring an all-new action packed adventure.
The original 24 ran from 2001 until 2010, and fans of the show went crazy when the premiere date and details were announced for the reboot.
24 was a revolutionary show in the way that it was told, since it played out in real time, and the reboot will be the same way. 24: Live Another Day will be a limited event series, and is scheduled to last for 12 episodes.
In addition to Michelle Fairley being added to the cast, Kiefer Sutherland will be returning as Jack Bauer, along with several costars including Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver, Michael Wincott, Yvonne Strahovski, Stephen Fry, Benjamin Bratt, Giles Matthey, Erik Ritter, Tate Donovan, and William Devane.
In addition to her role on Game Of Thrones, Fairley also had a recurring role on the last season of USA’s Suits. She has been seen in recent films such as Philomena and The Invisible Woman, and also played Hermione’s mother in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
After what her character has gone through on Game Of Thrones, a modern-day terrorist plot should be no big deal, with Jack Bauer having to match up against her. Her Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke has also been chosen to play Sarah Connor in another reboot of the Terminator series.
When the original show ended, Jack Bauer was a fugitive, and now four years later, he is still on the run. When the new show starts, he will be hunted by a CIA Agent, and is a fugitive of high order, making for another round of intense action sequences.
What will happen in the upcoming limited event series? Tune in to Fox on May 5th to find out.
