  • Gisele Bundchen, wife of New England Patriots and Super Bowl star Tom Brady, is giving up her career as a runway model. She will reportedly walk in one last show for Colcci at Sao Paulo Fashion Week before retiring from the runway forever.

Brazilian source Estadao reports that giving up her runway career in no way means that Gisele Bundchen is giving up modeling forever. She will still model and appear in ads for her numerous endorsement deals, including Chanel, David Yurman and, as of last year, Under Armour. She has her own lingerie and footwear lines.

Forbes magazine named Gisele Bundchen the 89th most powerful woman in the world for 2014. She earns even more than Tom Brady. That’s right. Gisele makes a very impressive $128,000 every day of her life. Will she make that kind of money once her runway career is over?

Gisele Bundchen has been walking runways around the world for 20 years. Do you expect the Brazilian beauty will find it difficult to kiss this huge facet of her life goodbye?

Alas, Gisele Bundchen has several perfect reasons for spending more time at home. In addition to spending more time with her very handsome husband, she and Tom Brady are parents to a son and a daughter. Tom also has a son from his previous relationship with Blue Bloods star Bridget Moynahan. There is definitely lots for to keep Gisele busy within her family dynamic alone.

Fashion moguls are likely mourning the fact that Gisele Bundchen is giving up her runway modeling career. She has long been a favorite of many designers in fashion houses all around the world.
