comScore’s online video rankings for February were released earlier today and perhaps most notable in the list was Yahoo’s meteoric ascent to the second-highest brand when, in previous months, Yahoo was nowhere to be found on comScore’s listings.
Now, though, Yahoo has shared the secret to their online video success: it’s owed to a partnership between the web company and ABC News that was announced all the way back in October 2011. On a blog post earlier today, ABC News Digital Senior Vice President Joe Ruffolo said, “The relationship is even more successful than we had dreamt.”
Among U.S. news sites, the Yahoo-ABC pair now tops the list of online videos among news outlets.
