Ubisoft today released its first look at Watch Dogs since the game became the surprise hit of E3 this past spring.

For those who missed Ubisoft’s E3 announcement and accompanying gameplay footage, Watch Dogs is a near-future cyberpunk game set in a “living” open world. Players take on the role of Aiden Pearce, a hacker who’s abilities allow him to crack anything connected to the city’s “Central Operating System.” This allows him to hack phones, security cameras, and

The focus of the today’s trailer, oddly enough, is not Watch Dogs. In a time when game companies are laying off hundreds of employees, it seems that Ubisoft is hiring. The entire video is directed to entice game developers to apply for a job with one of Ubisoft’s development studios. A similar video was released last week that featured footage from Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

Much of the Watch Dogs footage has already been seen in the gameplay video released at E3, but today’s trailer does highlight the development work being done on the game. In particular, the facial work from the cut scenes is emphasized, such as the man shown speaking to Aiden who looks remarkably similar to Oh Dae-su from Oldboy.
