Yeah, it’s exactly what the headline sounds like.
Apparently rumors are flying that former NFL player Warren Sapp is filming Judge Sapp for daytime television, where he will join such icons as Judge Wapner and Judge Judy. This would explain why he hasn’t been seen much around the NFL draft–he’s currently an analyst for the NFL network–but it doesn’t explain, well, why he’s doing it in the first place.
The current theory is that Sapp is looking for a cash infusion after filing for bankruptcy recently. He also presumably wants something safe away from the world of football, since he stirred up that whole whistle-blowing thing with Jeremy Shockey and the Saints earlier this year.
Apparently Media Rantz has found several clues as to the existence of the show, and it looks like it’s really happening. No word yet on how this will affect Sapp’s analyst job, although his contract is up in August anyway.
Warren Sapp is going to be a TV judge? I’ve had enough. Where’s my show? At least I know the law.

Warren Sapp Will Have His Own Judge Sapp TV Show, no I’m not kidding.
