VPNSecure’s new owners have stirred a hornet’s nest, canceling customers’ lifetime license, saying they were unaware of them when they purchased VPNSecure.
“Thousands” of customers began receiving notices that their lifetime license had been canceled, with some of them taking to Reddit to air their grievances.
The disgusting VPNSecure saga continues where the new parent company InfiniteQuant Ltd is standing their ground after pulling the rug from thousands of paid lifetime-subscription customers, not offering refunds or providing the service many customers have paid for..

Hi __
This isn’t your average “marketing email.”
This is us owning hte chaos, addressing the backlash, and speaking directly to the heart of what’s happended—and what we’re doing about it.
What Just Happened
If you’re reading this and still wondering, “Why did my VPN stop working?”—here’s the short version.
In 2023, we acquired VPN Secure through an asset-only deal.
We got the tech, the brand, and the infrastructure/technology—but none of the company, contracts, payments, or obligations from the previous owners.
The Lifetime Deals (LTDs) sold by the old team between 2015 and 2017 were not disclosed to us. We only found out months later.
We kept those accounts running for 2 extra years, entirely at our own cost—even though we never received a single cent from those subscriptions.
On April 20, 2025, all LTD accounts were officially deactivated.
The email then goes on to address the fallout and negative reviews the company has received since it canceled the LTDs, saying the new owners were surprised at the degree of fallout.
The company is also offering LTD users steeply discounted pricing on new plans.
- $1.8 for one month instead of $9.95
- $19 for one year instead of $79.92
- $55 for 3 years instead of $107.64
Despite the company’s efforts to give users a discount and make things right, there’s no denying this problem could have been avoided by better communication from the new owners. They say they found out about the LTDs a few months into ownership, but “kept those accounts running for 2 extra years, entirely at our own cost.” While commendable, it also raises serious questions about why they waited until April 20, 2025 to inform users of the LTD cancellation, instead of giving users more notice.
Ultimately, VPNSecure has given companies a good example of how not to handle an ownership transition and account monetization.
