  • Love them or hate them, Ugg boots are apparently here to stay. These boots have been popular gift items for several years now and just when some people thought they were fading from the style spotlight, they come back more popular than ever.

The good news is that those bulky Ugg boots from the past are not the only design options available. The classic Ugg boots were made of sheepskin and although they were worn by hundreds of celebrities and models, they weren’t really all that stylish. Perhaps their main appeal was that they were casual and comfortable, and easy to slip on when you needed to run out to feed your dogs in the middle of a snow storm.

These days, Ugg boots are available in a variety of styles and colors. You can still purchase the classic slip-on Uggs or you can opt for a lace up version. Not only are the lace up Ugg boots a breath of fresh air, they are also more versatile and can be worn with a variety of outfits. Where the classic Uggs were best paired with laid back styles such as sweats, leggings or skinny jeans, the lace up style can be worn with dressier attire too.

Still not convinced that Ugg Boots are rising in popularity? Just ask the company that makes them. According to Deckers Outdoors, their shares are rising as a result of an increase in Ugg boot sales. The cold weather seems to have inspired more people to shop for boots and it turns out, a lot of these people are purchasing Uggs. According to a sales analyst for the company,

“We continue to believe the colder weather has helped spur Ugg sales, particularly as consumers replace older Uggs,” the analyst wrote.

Will you be buying a new pair or Ugg boots this winter?
