  • Twitter has made a change across its web and mobile experiences to the way conversations look. Tweets, when part of a conversation, will now be shown in chronological order to make them easier to follow.

Users will see up to three tweets in a sequence in their timelines, and can see more if they tap.

Users will also be able to share conversations over email, which will get people who don’t use Twitter involved. From the mobile apps, users can share individual tweets via email, and on Android, they can do so via direct message.

“From buzz about the VMAs to debates around upcoming football games, people come to Twitter to take part in these real-time, global, public conversations,” says Twitter’s Jihen Kamdar. “To date, such exchanges haven’t always been easy to follow. With this in mind, we’ve now made it easier for you to see conversations as they’re taking place.

You can see what the VMAs did for Twitter here.

Changes are being made to Twitter.com and the Twitter iPhone and Android apps. The feature is rolling out to everyone today.

The Android app is getting a few more changes. For one, you can report individual tweets for abuse or spam directly from Android (as well as Twitter.com). This, which is already available for iPhone, will roll out gradually.

Additionally, on Android, Twitter has improved its experience on “entry-level Android smartphones with limited storage.” These include the Samsung Galaxy Y, HTC Explorer, Micromax Bolt, etc. The app’s size has been cut in half, so it’s faster to download and install.
