Twinkies are coming back to a grocer’s shelf near you after a brief hiatus that actually felt like an eternity, amirite?
Metropoulos & Co., one of the companies that bought the rights to several Hostess items when they went bankrupt last year, says the spongy little snacks will be in similar packaging as the original ones, will have the same price-point, and, most importantly, will have the same golden-delicious taste. The biggest change will be a line on the box which reads, “The sweetest comeback in the history of ever.”
“America wanted Hostess back — they wanted the original,” said Daren Metropoulos.
But you’ll have a bit of a wait; Twinkies won’t be re-released until July 15th.
