Severe weather has been occurring across the midwestern and southern U.S. today, with tornados so far touching down in Alabama and Tennessee. The weather Channel has stated that the greatest threat is in Kentucky and Tennessee. Below is a recent doppler image from the National Weather Service from it’s Louisville, KY station, showing storm cells moving across Indiana:

Heads up Louisville Metro! Tornado on the ground just north or Evansville and is moving east at 60mph. This may move your way soon. #kywx
EXTREMELY dangerous looking cells paralleling north side of I-64 in Indiana. Very strong rotation, classic signature Heed warnings! #tornado
RT @iuemc: If a tornado is imminent, you should “shelter-in-place”, but what does that mean?: http://t.co/E8WvRspY
The cleanliness of the bathroom at work weighs most heavily on my mind when I have to consider being stuck there during a potential tornado
24 of 83 tornado emergencies had no tornado. #nsww
If there’s no tornado I will never believe our weather people again. They have stayed lying to us all winter.
Really hoping a tornado doesn’t come today. It’ll be harder to wrestle it to the ground with my kidney hurtin’ like this.
Um, I suppose all is well, as there is now Trace Adkins and his bum kidney to save us.
