Last month, StumbleUpon launched a big redesign in beta. Today, the beta ends. 100,000 users were already using the beta, and now all StumbleUpon users will get the new version.

A company spokesperson tells WebProNews that during the beta, the two major things StumbleUpon focused on were adding “Add to List” controls to its browser extensions, and improvements to the activity feed, including Recent Activity on the Activity page and adding new activity types into the feed, such as a page added to a list, list shared, and list followed.

StumbleUpon also released numerous other design and functional upgrades, based on user feedback, the spokesperson tells us.

During the beta, users created over 45,000 lists, with the new Lists feature. Now that the functionality is available via the browser extensions, it will undoubtedly see a great deal more use.

“Our more visual layout provides new ways to Stumble, and our users have continued to use it to find the best, personalized content on the Web,” says Senior Product Manager David Baden in a blog post. “With the new StumbleUpon, Stumblers have also explored new types of content beyond their normal Interest categories through the Activity and Trending tabs. Along with this, Stumblers now have an identity with StumbleDNA, showing what kind of unique Internet snowflake each individual user really is.”
