Stella Maxwell and Miley Cyrus are not about to be pinned down by society’s expectations about how women should behave. While Miley Cyrus has made that abundantly clear, Stella Maxwell is gong on about her business. If that includes dating Miley, sharing steamy kisses for paparazzi to snap, or just posing nude for a photo shoot, so be it.
For her part, Miley is still clear about the nature of her relationship with Stella Maxwell. Clear as mud, that is.
“I’m 22, I’m going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I’m with,” Miley told Elle about Stella. “I’m very open about it; I’m pansexual. But I’m not in a relationship.”
“I don’t relate to what people have made men and women into. I know I’m more extreme and badass than most guys, but that doesn’t make me a boy,” Cyrus said. “And the other night I wore a pink dress because I felt cute. I can bake a cupcake and then go play hockey.”
Speaking of her look, Miley says it is important to her and necessary for her mental wellbeing to not care what everyone else is thinking about what she chooses to wear or not wear.
“I’ve had really bad anxiety and depression in my life and a lot of that stemmed from the way I look. Now I really try not to give a f–k. If you’re funny enough and cool enough and confident, that’s what will make you feel beautiful.”
Speaking of what one wears or not, Stella Maxwell recently posted n outtake from a photo shoot with photographer David Bellemere that showed just as much skin as Miley ever has.
Daveid Bellemere himself posted a shot from the same session, this one with a bit more clothing in the mix.
When it comes to showing skin, Miley says she uses nudity as a way to call attention to topics that she feels need the conversation.
“If you get your t–s out, and they are all looking, then you can use that space to say something and get them to listen,” she said.
People are indeed looking, so Miley has used that attention to start a charity, speak about LGBT equality, and generally chide haters.
