As a huge Final Fantasy fan I am always happy to see port after port of a traditional Final Fantasy game to every system/phone available. We get this news today that the remastered classic that appeared on the Nintendo DS a couple of years ago is now available for download on any Android powered device….if you live in Japan. The remastered version that features a full 3D redesign, not old school sprites, is already available for iOS in Japan.

Hopefully this will be an ongoing trend for Square-Enix. If all 6 original Final Fantasy games could be released onto mobile systems, it would have the possibility to tip the console/mobile battle that is currently raging.
