Skype just released a new version of Skype for Mac, which no longer carries the beta label. It also introduces group video calling (as part of a premium package).
That package also includes live chat customer support, a seven-day free trial, and the option to either purchase a day pass starting at $4.99 or a monthly subscription at $8.99 a month.
The new version of the app has a more compact design, a reduced minimum window size, the ability to see more contacts at once, the ability to see more conversations without scrolling, the addition of the contacts monitor to the Window menu, and full-screen mode in video calls.
Skype has also made it easier to chat while you’re on a call.
