Comparison shopping site Shop.com has introduced a new shopping application on Facebook.
The new shopping application can be accessed on Shop.com’s Facebook Fan page withing the “Shop” tab. The app allows users to compare prices from 2,000 stores from the fan page via a search box.
Shop.com partners can also add the app to their own Facebook fan pages for free during the beta trial period. Users will be able to shop through the fan pages of participating retailers.
“Today’s consumer requires value and convenience. But, they also want the ability to consolidate favorite pastimes like shopping, connecting with friends and family, and catching up with the news all at the same time,” said Roger Ritchie, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.
Shop.com’s app also features product recommendations from stores and categories selected by the merchandising team.
