Shailene Woodley feels like a woman for the first time in her life, she says, and it’s because of two very important things she did:
One, the actress just recently accepted her body and the rest of her physical features for what they are, and two, she took some time off from work to really discover herself, which she hasn’t done before.
“For the first time, I feel like I’m entering my womanhood,” said Woodley in an interview with Marie Claire. “I’ve decided to take a few months off, just to see who I am as that woman in the world, because I’ve never been able to experience it outside the industry.”
“My whole life I’ve been so self-conscious about being skinny, and just recently I don’t care anymore, all insecurities are projected because of what you think others are saying about you, but they don’t really matter at all,” added the 22 year old.
Woodley will be starring in the highly promoted science fiction flick Divergent, also starring Kate Winslet, Zoe Kravitz and Mekhi Phifer, just to name a few.
And by the looks of the film, there’s a good chance she’ll be reaching another stratosphere of fame once it’s released, because it has that high-budget-big-movie feel, and it can easily do for Woodley what The Hunger Games did for Jennifer Lawrence.
The film will also probably turn Woodley into a bigger sex-symbol too, and increase her number of male fans, but it’ll be hard for anyone to tie her down, relationship-wise, because the young actress says she really doesn’t believe in being with just one person.
“I just haven’t met anyone where I was like, ‘Wow, I could definitely see myself spending a season of my life with you,'” said Woodley. “I don’t even know if humans are genetically made to be with one person forever.”
