Selena Gomez may seem like she has it all together, but she recently told Ellen that there is still room for improvement in her life and that she is always trying to better herself.
She also admitted that part of her self improvement includes finding who she really is.
She even rated herself on a scale of one to ten on how good she is at improving herself.
“I’m a seven,” she told Ellen. “People tend to forget. They’re like, ‘Be yourself, be yourself,’ and I’m still trying to figure out who that is. I know I’m not perfect but I know that I have a lot of people who support me and love me and, I don’t know, I don’t want to let anyone down. So I just try to be the best I can be.”

Selena has had a big year full of ups and downs but she said one of the biggest changes in her life came when she bought her first home and moved out of her mom’s house.
“I can like, walk around naked and stuff,” she joked to Ellen.
She also said that even though she doesn’t live with her mother anymore, the two are still very close. Her mom calls to check on her even more often now she admitted, but she said she is happy to be on her own for the first time.
“Honestly, I just enjoy not being able to have to check in all the time. My mom is the sweetest ever, so even now she checks in on me. She’s like, ‘I see online you’re here. Are you OK?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m fine, mom, I promise!’ But I think that’s just the best thing, being able to go into my own space,” she said.
Selena isn’t all alone in her new home, she said that she does have a roommate, one of her childhood friends from Texas.
