It’s been an exciting few months for Scarlett Johansson. The curvaceous beauty has only been engaged for six months and is already pregnant with her first child. Johansson and fiancé Romain Dauriac confirmed their engagement in September and although it seemed as though they were moving fast, Johansson said that she was more interested in having a baby than a wedding.
“I would like to have my own family, that would be nice,” she said during an interview. “They say it’s never the right time and I am sure that’s true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else.”
“At some point it is something I look forward to,” she continued. “I am fortunate in that I have had a long career—20 years—that has been very diverse. So, you know, picking a time to plan a family feels like something that I could do and not feel as though I was missing out.”
Johansson has been married before, but this will be her first child. She and Ryan Reynolds were married for three years before they divorced in July 2011. Johansson began dating Dauriac in November of 2012. Reynolds married Blake Lively last fall.
Johansson did not offer any hints on how far along she is, if the couple has picked out any names or if she is hoping for a boy or girl, but it’s safe to say she and Dauriac are very excited about the baby and will no doubt make great parents.
