  • Saoirse Ronan, the incredibly talented actress from The Lovely Bones and The Host, may make an appearance in the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII. The collaborative efforts of J.J. Abrams, Disney, and Lucasfilm have not officially released information about this; however, Saoirse personally admitted that the audition had taken place with Sky News.

The casting is still in the early days even though the proposed release date is set for 2015. Saoirse was quick to quip that while she had auditioned, “so has everyone.”

Though the exact character Saoirse auditioned for is not known, many suspect that she may have auditioned for the rumored role of Han Solo and Princess Leia’s daughter.

Reasonably tight-lipped about the potential casting prospects, Saoirse added that bosses would likely, “chop off her head with a light-sabre” if she were to divulge any details.

Known for her character depth and ability to melt into any persona for the screen, the nineteen-year-old actress has previously spoken about her childhood behaviors that help foster her skills.

Back in 2009, Saoirse shared with the Daily Telegraph, “I used to play with my dolls and give them different accents. My Polly Pockets would have affairs with each other, things that probably a seven-year-old shouldn’t have them doing.”

Makes sense why Saoirse Ronan has the talent to express different mindsets needed to allow characters to come to life.

Saoirse Ronan certainly sounds like a Jedi-in-training in the quote from the following tweet.

Fans have already been eager to discuss whether Saoirse will star as the female lead in the upcoming Star Wars movie.
