Rosie O’Donnell says she is “obsessed” with Alana Thompson–a.k.a Honey Boo Boo–and her entire family, and wants to meet them, hang out with them, and buy them a house.

“I love Mama June. I love Sugar Bear. I love Chubbs,” she said. “I love ’em all.”

O’Donnell says Alana reminds her of another child star, calling her wise beyond her years.

“She is like Shirley Temple. She has a presence and an intellect that goes way beyond her years. Some of the stuff that she says and she comes up with … I don’t know.”

The family, who became overnight sensations after the debut of the hit show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” on TLC, still live in their cramped house in Georgia, which has railroad tracks running through the backyard. And though O’Donnell says she’d love to put them up in a new house, Alana’s mom, June, has reportedly already turned that same offer down from TLC, saying she wants the family to remain “real”.
