The official Playstation Blog has made an announcement that a new game, Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault, will be released on the Playstation Network this Fall.
The release is from Insomniac Games, who do the Ratchet and Clank and Resistance franchises.
This summer they will release remastered HD versions of all the Playstation 2 versions of the franchise called the Ratchet and Clank Collection. This is all part of their 10th anniversary celebration.
Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault will return to the classic third person camera for the holiday release, and it will be released exclusively on the Playstation Network. There is no word on the price yet, or how long the gameplay will be. Quest for Booty was released at a price point lower than most full games due to its short play time. Since this is a Playstation Network exclusive, my guess is that it will follow in those footsteps.
Here’s the game description from the Playstation Blog:
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is a fun-sized Ratchet adventure which will be available for download exclusively on the PlayStation Store. We’ve returned to the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play. Even better, the addition of online features means you can experience Full Frontal Assault with your friends, so stay tuned! We’re really excited about this game, and we hope even these small tidbits about it get you excited too.
