Are you looking for love in all the wrong places? None of your face to face relationships ever seem to go right? It could be you’re just hard to get along with or maybe you’re just not meeting the right people.
Last year, over 40 million people visited online dating sites in search of their one true love, or at least looking for some sort of love. Do they really work? Some people say, yes. In fact, since 2007 the number of people who are trying out online dating has doubled.
Interestingly, the way people met their current spouse has remained relatively the same since 2007. Most people still meet their mate through either friends and family or through school and work. About 17% of couples meet online and that hasn’t changed since 2007.
So, there’s a lot more people trying out online dating, but there doesn’t seem to be any more reported success. Very interesting. Though I think it is important to note, a lot more money is being made off online dating.
Take it for what it’s worth. MBAprograms.Org has provided this wonderful infographic on the logic of online dating and who’s using it. Take a look at the facts and see what you think. Enjoy!
