“Hey boss, learn to be on time!” said one smart man who definitely has the balls to stand up to lousy management.  

One employee’s note to his manager has just cost him his job.

Joe Blumm of Michigan was fired Thursday after posting a rather pissed-off note to the front door of his job.

Blumm-who has worked for the local BP gas station the past three years-told CNN that he was forced to work night shift even after putting in a request to be off.

When his manager failed to show up to relieve him, Blumm decided it was the last straw.

“I had enough of that unprofessional atmosphere, having to deal with that tardiness and have it come down on me,” Blumm told CNN.

The note reads as follows:

“Hey boss, learn to be on time or at least communicate when you are going to be late. One hour with no phone call is unacceptable. As you can see, the doors are locked. I went home. Fire me if you must, but realize I walked due to your negligence.” 

The third shift worker said it was a message only intended for his boss, but once it hit Reddit.com, he became a little bit nervous at first.

Now, it seems Blumm is pretty pleased that his message has reached so many people.

He may have just become the voice for “low-paid employees who get the short end of the stick” and don’t have enough courage to stick up for themselves when being treated unfairly.

Blumm’s manager admitted being tardy, but stresses that her employee failed to contact her before locking up the store.

She claims that she fired Blumm for other reasons and not because of the angry note.

At this point, Blumm is just hoping to land a new job with better pay and more respect.

“I would love to have a different job,” Blumm said. “Something a little bit higher paying I would hope.”
